starting to have fun with it

Over the next couple of days, I am going to rearrange and turn my logos inside out. I think this is the only way I will be able to find the best solution. Who would of thought that simply changing the angle of the skillet would make my logo come that much more alive? I feel this gives it more movement and it slightly playful, but not too much. I can also work the text much better. Now I'm looking forward to putting this on other things to see how it looks. Here are some different things I was trying with the type treatment. I'm just gonna keep pushin!!! :)

  1. I like the change of color scheme for "green sprout" where there is only one "green" letter (or illustrative type) used. To me though, "vegetable cuisine" is more noticeable when it's gray instead of green. To me though.

Also like the tilt of the skillet, looking like it's being used to cook while showing the logo.

  2. I am not sure i like the repetition of the leaf in the word sprout. it comes off more as a green flame to me.

  3. Okay i like the one at the top. I think I like the type above the logo because it makes it easier and quicker to see exactly what the company is about. And when i think of it the sprout does look a little like a flame, maybe you could work on making it look a little more like a leaf

  4. I see it as a leaf and a flame but for me i thought that was the point... just because when i go into my favorite stir fry restaurant they cook with these skillets and there are always flames coming off of it because of the heat.. i like it this way because of that.. but thats me?!

  5. i always saw it as a leaf/flame combo as well... but i agree that it works because it reminds me of the heat from the pan. but when it is in the word, it looks more flame-like, and I think it works better just in the pan.

  6. Well... I'm glad you guys get the double meaning of it. That's my point. The place serves full, hearty, stir fry/baked meals that seem like meat, but are in fact vegetarian. I'm taking all of your comments into consideration and I do agree maybe I could do something to the leaf in the name to make it less flame-like. Thanks for the comments!

  7. Don't overdo a good thing. Sometimes less is more when it comes to nuance. The leaf used twice just might be too much don't you think? Tease your audience. Make them want more. Don't give it all away in the logo..you have many miles to go and your "leaf" might just be better served later on in the campaign. (I'm loving the leaf and skillet)
