I chose one of my favorite books of course. The pattern on the jacket came from some fabric I scanned in and the girl is one of my friends. I illustrated the word 'Geisha' since I couldn't find a typeface that I liked.
The design here is really smooth bro. The only think I might suggest is to keep the title for "Geisha" being red. It's more noticeable and it won't be lost within the color scheme for the background.
Other than that, I really like the illustration and the background design. Was all this done traditionally or a mixture of both traditional and digital?
Yeah, this is the one project that I felt I could never fully finish. I've changed a lot on it. Plus it is the only one where I used Photoshop. I much prefer Illustrator's clean lines. It is all done with photos and scans that I digitally enhanced.
i love the subtle color coordination that yu have used in your work. looks great:)
